The FlowPro Mechanical Float Valve System is a simple, reliable, and highly effective way to control water flow into your buffer tank and automatically shut it off once full. It uses a buoyant plastic float that rises with the water level; as it reaches a preset height, it triggers the valve to stop incoming flow.

Now standard with an integrated air gap base, the FlowPro system also helps protect the potable water supply by maintaining a physical separation between the incoming water source and the tank. This air gap design supports commonly adopted plumbing and backflow-prevention guidelines, which generally require a vertical separation of at least twice the inlet pipe diameter and no less than 1 inch between the water outlet and the tank’s flood-level rim (ICC / ASME A112.1.2 standards).

One of the biggest advantages of the FlowPro system is its simplicity and efficiency. It requires no electricity, sensors, or complex controls—just dependable mechanical operation. It is also cost-effective, easy to install, and easy to maintain.

Unlike internal float systems that can reduce usable tank capacity by 15–20 gallons or more, the FlowPro float system is installed externally, preserving full tank volume. It mounts approximately 4 inches above the tank and can be connected directly to a hose reel or water source.

Field serviceability is another major benefit. The system is designed for quick maintenance with no tools required to replace the float, and only a Phillips screwdriver needed for cleaning. Each unit includes a backup replacement float valve, allowing a full swap in minutes if debris causes a clog—minimizing downtime on the job site. Most cleaning or repairs can be handled quickly in the field, with full servicing easily completed back at the shop.

Both connection fittings are included, and the installer supplies the 3/4” hose from the reel to the tank.

Built for real-world pressure washing conditions, the FlowPro system delivers a wide operating range—gentle enough for consistent residential fill flow, yet robust enough to reliably shut off high-demand supply lines, including fire hydrant-fed setups, without sticking or overfilling.

Pro tip: If you already have another float system installed, keep it active as a backup in case you need to run a secondary water source due to low flow conditions.

Includes:

1 – Complete FlowPro float valve system with integrated air gap base

1 – Replacement float valve (field replace in 3 minutes or less)

1 – 3/4” FPT x 3/4” barb fitting

1 – 1/2” MPT x 3/4” barb fitting (hose reel connection)

Proven FlowPro performance—now with a standard integrated air gap for added protection, flexibility, and compliance support in the field.
